Bloodlines

This commission was created to commemorate Bloodlines, a pamphlet by prize-winning poet Sarah Wimbush. The poem details life as the descendent of Gypsy/Traveller folk, and the prejudices that often come with it. I focused heavily on nature in the film, and explored the connection between human and nature. The overlaying of shots instigates the layers of identity, history and prejudices, and it was important to me that the viewer could see both the layers and identify them. Literature is a huge passion of mine, along with filmmaking, so I loved this project!
